Villajoyossa

La Vila Joiosa is a town situated just to the south of Benidorm and is famous for its rows of houses with brightly coloured facades. Its 12km of coastline have played a decisive role throughout its past and the town's traditions and character have been forged through its relations with the sea.

It is a town steeped in history, as is demonstrated through its architecture and archaeological finds, yet it is also a thoroughly modern town with a thriving marina and its local casino. It is not without reason that La Vila Joiosa means, quite literally, ‘Happy People'.
